Pam Heil
Pam Heil loves youth. Her goal is not only to help teenagers love themselves, but also to help them learn what real love is. Using alcohol and other drugs and having sex are ways which many people use to fit in, to feel accepted, to seek love, and to find happiness. Instead, people are finding themselves sad, confused, lonely, and lost.
Using an interactive approach, Pam uses her audience and vivid story telling techniques to empower teens to determine the difference between desire, infatuation, and love. She helps youth recognize that decisions have consequences, and they must recognize the power they have to choose.
She presents a very candid conversation with youth about pressures of today's world. What does it mean to be a man? What does it mean to be a woman? How do you let someone know you like them while still standing up for what you believe in? How can you figure out what you believe in?
Pam begins with the tallest, strongest teen in her audiences to demonstrate her message: " If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything." The audience will visibly see that once people decide what they stand for they are empowered. The only way they will be weakened is if they are under the influence of alcohol or other drugs.
Decisions, decisions, decisions! Pam will help youth make decisions about really tough issues. She will educate, entertain, and help young people realize that "No" is a love word. If they respect the power of sex and choose to wait, they will have an easier time accomplishing their personal goals and will eliminate many of the risks and pressures of the teenage experience. Loving themselves by respecting themselves and standing up for their beliefs will be a bonus!
