Thank you for your interest in serving as a volunteer A-Team member at one of the 2018 Youth to Youth International Summer Training Conferences. We are very excited about offering this opportunity to alumni of the program!
The A-Team position was created for those dedicated, hard working, enthusiastic alumni who are too young to serve as adult staff and too old to serve as youth staff. The role of an A-Team member is to assist with programming and logistics for the entire conference, i.e. assisting with security, coordinating or leading activities, running errands, packing, and loading at the end of conference, etc.
As an A-Team member, you may not have much exposure or interaction with conference participants. You will be doing much of the behind-the scenes work. This is a tough position because you will be asked to work long hours. The A-Team is under the supervision of designated Youth to Youth Administrative Staff.
To be eligible to serve as an A-Team member, you must meet the following criteria by June 15, 2018.
- Have completed your 1st year in college or be at least 19 years old.
- Must be available at least two (2) days before a conference.
- Attended/staffed a Youth to Youth conference.
For the safety of our participants we do require that ALL adult staff have current background checks. Information about this process will be emailed to you after your application is submitted.
If you are an eligible candidate for the A-team, complete the following application. The application must be submitted by April 21, 2018!
Unfortunately, only a limited number of A-team positions are available at each conference. While your application is being reviewed, we encourage you to pursue funding so that you are still able to attend the conference as an alumni participant. Additionally, we ask that you lend your assistance in recruiting other teens and adults in your community in order to give them the opportunity for the best leadership/drug prevention training in 2018. Return forms to the address on the back of the application.
