Due to public health concerns, Youth to Youth must make a difficult but proactive decision to postpone this weekends CAMP Y2Y event.
Youth to Youth’s top priority is the health, safety, and well-being of your students our staff and volunteers. We are a prevention program with the main goal of promoting healthy decision making in our community and beyond. Accordingly, we must take immediate action to help protect students, staff, volunteers and community from the coronavirus (COVID-19) which was just declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization just this morning.
This decision is made under the guidance of our state government and medical leaders. They advise that distancing and avoiding large gatherings, really are the best means of protecting from exposure. Prevention is and will remain the best medicine and we must do our part in preventing the spread of this virus. Not taking the appropriate action in this situation could put students, volunteers, staff and family at risk and that is something that we cannot ignore.
This decision was not easy to come to as our staff and volunteers have worked tirelessly to make CAMP Y2Y an amazing weekend experience for your students. We absolutely do not want the hard work and excitement for CAMP Y2Y to be for nothing. As this decision will be costly for Youth to Youth we will deliberate in the coming weeks on how we can still provide this experience for your students when appropriate.
We will begin to process refunds for those who have paid. Please allow 7-10 days for this to take place.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter and we look forward to providing your student with innovative and impactful prevention and leadership experiences in the near future. If you have any questions you can give me a call at 614-586-7963.
