“Making the Way Easy!” Training  Conference

This dynamic, interactive training is an ADULT ONLY opportunity to learn and enhance the skills of the adults who work with young people to effectively engage them in their programs and initiatives. It is for any adult who works in youth-led prevention, youth leadership, youth development, youth advocacy or community coalitions that involve youth.   Adults will be confident in their ability to connect with youth to serve as valuable resources in their community and schools.

“Excellent training! I typically find a training worthwhile if about 25% of it is applicable to my work; this one was 100% useful.  I left inspired and filled with ideas for our group moving forward in the new school year. Thanks!”

will be unlike any other professional conference you have ever attended.  The presenters, workshop instructors, and hands- on activities will be focused on showing you not telling you many of the tips and techniques you can immediately incorporate into your youth led programming to make your young people stronger and more capable.

If you have been working with teens forever, if you are new to the field, or just looking for ideas on how to effectively involve youth, you will definitely find something to make your way easier.

“The Youth to Youth Adult Advisor Training included valuable presentations on the principles of positive youth development, outlining what is means to be supportive, youth-friendly and culturally responsive.  It allowed our staff team to learn important skills and tools that we are now using with our teen advisory board.”

Our presenters are certified professionals who have amassed years of skills and knowledge through their direct work in the field. They include:

Director of Program Development and Lead Trainer for Youth to Youth International/CompDrug.  Ty has been working with young people, and the adults that work with young people for almost 30 years.  He is an Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist II and has trained and spoken to youth in all 50 states as well as Guam, Puerto Rico, Germany, Japan, and Italy.

This team of certified prevention professionals is responsible for planning and implementing three national conferences annually that impact over 1200 teens. Their “real job” though happens the other 49 weeks of the year while they facilitate the Franklin County Youth Advisory Board. They practice youth led prevention every day and run into the same challenges and obstacles as you do or will in your youth group. YAB has been going on since the inception of Youth to Youth in 1982 and the team has benefited from all those years of experience.
